Fletcher and Beckwith join forces to form ‘London Wall Partners LLP’

Leading independent financial adviser and wealth management expert Nick Fletcher (the former Saunderson House CEO), has teamed up with global investment manager and economist Jeremy Beckwith (the former Kleinwort Benson CIO), to form London Wall Partners LLP.  Launched today with full FCA authorisation, the firm is partner-owned and funded, and will provide conflict-free advice based on a thorough and unbiased assessment of the market – principally to individuals, but also to trusts.

Founding partners Fletcher and Beckwith share a passion for the provision of truly independent financial advice and London Wall Partners LLP launches with a commitment to bringing a new level and standard to the provision of independent financial advice - founded on the underlying principles of openness, transparency, objectivity, diligence and impartiality. The firm has been established with the belief that clients should be able to rely on their adviser to act in a compassionate and friendly manner, with both integrity and professionalism.  Fletcher and Beckwith believe the partnership structure is the ideal vehicle for providing independent financial advice, which is consistent with the structure of a number of well-established and highly regarded legal and accountancy firms.

Fletcher brings enormous expertise to the venture and has a reputation for providing wise advice, a highly personalised service and flawless delivery.  During the last two decades (the latter eight as CEO of Saunderson House), he helped to pioneer and shape a winning business model, attracting an exceptional client base with several billion under advice.  Co-founder Beckwith has, over the last three decades, built up a reputation as a leader in the analysis of global economic trends and investing.  At Kleinwort Benson he built and managed the investment process, with responsibility for client assets of circa £5 billion.

In launching the new firm, Fletcher has attracted and assembled a formidable team, including Mark Johnston, formerly a director in KPMG's financial services practice, who joins the firm as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.  A strong investment and back office team has also been recruited in the run up to authorisation, with administration and client delivery being of paramount importance to the firm’s overall service proposition.

The firm’s Investment Committee includes the relevant partners and experienced independent consultant Ingrid Kirby, who spent 25 years with Hermes Pension Fund Managers (where she is now a trustee).

In addition, two highly experienced and valued members have been appointed to the firm's Advisory Board to ensure a credible and robust governance structure is in place from the outset. Iain Brown was a former Company Secretary with the Financial Services Authority, whilst Mark Bogard is a lawyer and high-profile financial services practitioner.

In the pipeline are a number of prospective clients, attracted by the extensive, proven experience of the partners as well as the core values and ethos of the firm.  London Wall Partners LLP is expecting to expand rapidly, with other like-minded professionals likely to join the firm early in the New Year.
